Ever.Ag tests Mobile Manifest on devices using the latest operating systems to ensure compatibility with current standards. By limiting the supported operating systems, we can ensure security, memory and computing power will be adequate to support Mobile Manifest. 

To ensure positive driver experiences, Ever.Ag does thorough testing prior to every release, but with the large variety of Androids in the market, it is impossible to test every device. By limiting the number of devices we support, we can ensure intense testing on those specific devices.

Minimum Mobile Device Requirements

Customer mobile device platforms must meet minimum requirements as identified by Ever.Ag for the Mobile Manifest application. All devices must have cameras, GPS functionality, and cellular connectivity. In addition, all devices must have a minimum of 4GB RAM. Mobile Manifest uses under 200MB of ROM, so users will need to ensure they have adequate space for the application. To ensure best device performance in remote areas, we strongly recommend use of Verizon or other national carriers for cellular service. Specific requirements include:

APPLE

We explicitly support iPhones, iPads, and iPad minis running on the current iOS or one (major) version prior. This is our preferred hardware platform.

ANDROID

We explicitly support Samsung Galaxy S21 (or newer) and Google Pixel 5a (or newer) phones and Samsung Galaxy TabActive3 (or newer) and Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 (or newer) tablets.  We also require all devices use the most current Android OS, or up to two (major) versions prior. 

Ever.Ag conducts testing using the devices listed in this communication to ensure quality performance. Most importantly, the customer understands that use of non-supported and or older device configurations may negatively impact Mobile Manifest application performance in the field. Furthermore, the customer also understands they are ultimately responsible for ensuring that haulers’ devices adhere to these standards.

WiFi vs. Data Usage

Users of Mobile Manifest should have a cellular plan connected to their devices to fully utilize the application and all features.  Standard data usage of Mobile Manifest will likely range between 100 – 200MB per month.  If a Supplier requires images for scale tickets, usage will increase accordingly.​

If Mobile Manifest users do not have a cellular plan, they will still be able to use Mobile Manifest, but will need to start and complete loads while attached to a WiFi source.  This method will not provide full functionality of the application. 

Timeline of Changes

EFFECTIVE MARCH 1, 2023:

Effective March 1, 2023, Mobile Manifest will only be available for download from the Play Store if a device is within the supported Operating Systems as outlined in our Device Policy.​

Please note, users that already have Mobile Manifest downloaded on their devices will continue being able to use the application.  However, new users will be unable to download Mobile Manifest if they are not within the device policy guidelines.​

EFFECTIVE MAY 1, 2023:

Effective May 1, 2023, Ever.Ag will support only the devices listed in our Device Policy.  If users have alternate devices, we will continue doing basic troubleshooting through our support team.  However, our development team will not undergo extraordinary measures to ensure usability of the Mobile Manifest application on those alternate devices.

Purchasing Devices

RECOMMENDED APPROACH:
  • Purchase directly through manufacturer (Apple, Samsung, etc.)​
  • Apple devices purchased with Verizon as the carrier tend to be the most straight-forward approach
CARRIER CONSIDERATIONS:
  • When purchasing through carrier, customer must be present and be an authorized user to add to account or establish new account​
  • Apple or Verizon customers are able to purchase through a retailer (i.e. Best Buy or Walmart) without a contract​
  • AT&T devices must be purchased through AT&T or the device manufacturer
